An Old Photostatted Photo of Than Kong By Late Mor Keaw

It's the 4th week of Malaysia  MCO @ lockdown due to Covid-19 Pandemic. Nothing much that we can do during this MCO. Besides spending some quality times with my family, I used to spend my whole evening and nite by confining myself in my praying room - smadhi, chanting, rearranging my altar, recounting the quantity of my phra kreung & kreung lang and last but not least having a wild imagination - of how rich I would be if I ever STOPPED myself from renting / collecting phra kreung decade ago !

During these 'MCO confinement days' in my praying room. I unintenttentionly found this photostatted photo of late Than Kong @ Cau Khun Khron in my old mon / khata's manual. This photostatted photo of late Than Kong @ Cau Khun Khron is the very first copied version from the original potrait. Nowadays we can see tones of copied ( reprinted from the modern devices ) photos online. Only some of the circulated copies are the original copy of Than Kong's. I'm calling it as "the very first copied version of the potrait" because this photocopy @ photostate version of photo was copied by using a black and white photostate machine on A4 paper. Mor Kaew told me that, the original photo that inscribed with khata akhom in the reverse side was copied by his Penang Looksik (forgot his name). This A4 photostatted copy was multiplied by this guy before handling it to late Mor Kaew for blessing before giving out to his devotees.

I used to come across of this A4 photocopy photo via Penangite's and Kelantanese's FB accounts last year but sadly the screenshots of the pages were gone as my phone corrupted and I couldn't recover the screenshots of the FB's accounts to be shared here. Both of FB owners were searching up and down and keep on asking the origin of this A4 photocopy version of Than Kong photo. I used to place a comment by saying that it was from late Mor Kaew's hand but i deleted the comment few days later because nobody seem to be convinced with my claim. Hahahahaha !

This photocopy photo was given to me by late Mor Kaew in year 1995/6, I still remember it vividly as it was given one each ( me and my Kelantanese friend ) when we visited him few days before Phor Kae confine himself in Wat Batu 5 @ Pokok Sagu during Khau Phansa @ Retreat Seasion. 

 

If you ever have @ own one of this photocopy version of Than Kong's photo, keep it as a treasure as it is not easy to get one nowadays. It's from late Phor Kae @ Phor Luang Kaew of Lubuk Stong, one of  late Than Kong @ Tok Raja's great disciple - PM me if you wanna let it go, seriously !

"Tongkat-In Phra Nuer Wanj"

Sharing my PESRSONAL POINT OF VIEW ( personal okay ! ) regarding Tongkat-In Phra Nua Wanj. ( An amulet with an imprint of tip of the wand / maikru in the back @ widely known as Tongkat-In). This Tongkat-In Phra Nua Wanj believes to be a figurine of late Luang Phor Khron Ratchanren @ Tok Raja Khron @ Than Kong. Some of the Kelantan Phra-Kreung collectors believe that it was indeed CONSECRATED according to Bangsek’s secret by our late Than Kong. Some of irresponsible parties trying hard to convince these newcomers to believe that the depicted image on the amulet is the figurine of Luang Phor Khron Ratchanren @ Tok Raja Khron @ Than Kong  and this batch of amulet is RUNE SUTHAI ( last batch, that's why not many know about this batch ) and 100% made by Than Kong  

My personal point of view is simple. As for me, I strongly believe that the figurine casted / depicted is NOT Tok Raja Khron's. BUT it’s a figurine of Venerable Somdej Phra Rajamuni Samiramagunupamacarya or popularly known as Ven. Luang Pu Thuad Wat Chang Haiy, Pattanee. Why am I saying this ? My simple clarification towards this claim are ............. 

1. Physical Characteristics of Phra Nuer Wanj.

The basic physical characteristics are not parallel with the Bangsek's phim and style. If you observe carefully the base, the phra figurine is seated on the LOTUS THRONE. According to the Buddhisme custom and belief, ONLY those who has attaining ARAHANT @ BODDHISATVA level be able to be seated on the lotus throne. The argument is Than Kong would never permitted his image to be casted or printed on the lotus throne during his life time, because Than Kong would never consider himself as arahant or attained the arahant level.   

Some parties used to argue with me by saying that some of the sacred monks figurines were ALSO printed @ casted as seated on the lotus throne. So there's no issue here. For instances, Cha Pok Loh Wat Khao Kong, Luang Phor Lindam @ Orchik Wat Naka etc. My simple feedback to the argument is, those figurine ( Cha Pok Loh bucha statue and LP Lindam Taorit and Roubmeurn ) were made / produced AFTER THEY WERE DEMISED and NOT DURING THEIR LIFE TIME ! Those down-to-earth prominent monks will never claim and consider themselves arahant. Only laymen like us DID so !

I use to ask Phor Luang Kaew why the ordinary monks should not cast their image on the lotus throne. Pho Kaew replied it in short ......

" Uh Dok Pade Eh, Dok Chekak Not Tanggung La.....! "

( We are not up to the par and could not bear the SIN ! )  

2. The Neur / Composition of the Wanj @ Materials 

The composition of the neur wanj @ materials are not consistent and parallel with the neur from Bangsek. Meaning to say that the composition of the wanj @ materials are not consistent with the creation of late Than Kong a.k.a Phra Pidnar Phakhawan. Neither of the Phra Pidnar Phakhawan made by late Than Kong nor 05 Taurit made by Than Chan and Chau khun Mit bear the same composition of this Phra Neur Wanj Tongkat-In. 

3. The  'Tongkat' @ Wand Yant Imprint "Yakh"

 The akharak yant @ khom "Yakh" imprint in the reverse is neither the Yant Kru nor Than Kong favourite yant @ khom. As far as I concerned, none of Than Kong Maikru tip was crafted @ equipted with the YAKH yant imprint that can be used to produce the imprint like one we see in the reverse side of the feature amulet. As I said, none of the phra kreung and kreung lang made by Than Kong used the SINGLE akharak yant @ khom of "Yakh". Than Kong favourite SINGLE akharak yant @ khom  that can widely  be found are "Phut and Akh" and not "Yakh".

 4. Phor Luang Kaew's Point of View

Phor Luang Kaew @ Phor Kae said that this Phra Neur Wanj was secured from late Than Kong's room by late Chau Khun Chan after the demised of Than Kong. When asked  further about the origin of this Phra Neur Wanj, Phor Kae said that Chau Khun Chan went to the deep Samadhi and came to the conclusion that, it was considered as Than Kong's creation as it was blessed by late Than Kong himself but he couldn't assure bout the origin of this phra neur wanj because as far as his concerned, he ( Than Chan ) never seen or witnessed Than Kong  self made this phra neur wanj and there're no mold for such phim found. Phor Kae said that, Late Cau Khun Chan later re-blessed this phra neur wanj before distributing it to the devotees. Chau Khun Chan said that this phra neur wanj is superb for Khlew Khad and Nir-Antarai Plod Pai -- consistent with most of Luang Pu Thuad's amulets ! 

5.  Real story from Late Phor Than Dee of Wat Maisuwankiri,  and the tranced novice monk

The old true-experience story was retold by most of SENIOR KELANTANESE AMULET DIE HARDS. The story began when the novice monk from the temple was tranced by the unknown spirit. The novice monk was brought upon late Than Dee and after a short conversation with the spirit, Than Dee later announced that it was indeed Late Than Kong @ Khron Ratchanaren's spirit. All ( including late Than Dee, monks and other novice monks ) made a 3-prostration bow to Than Kong ( soul @ spirit ).

Late Than Dee then led the Qs & As with Than Kong's spirit. According to the eye witnesses, late Than Dee consulted Than Kong ( spirit ) about Bangsek Vicha and khatas, secret of making the phakhawan including the yant @ khata akhom inscribed to be inserted inside the phakhawan. and some unsolved Bangsek's mystery ). Before the spirit left the novice monk body, one of the novice monks came forward and handed his Phra Neur Wanj ( Tongkat In ) and Phakhawan to be blessed by Than Kong ( spirit ) and later it was identified as Phra Luang Pu Thuad and  not him ( Than Kong ) by the spirit !

After this rare incident and late Phor Than Dee started to collect some Phong and Wanj to make his 1st batch pidta phakhawan. It took him ( Than dee ) for several years before successfully gathered all the materials needed. We ( Kelantanese ) believe that, Than Dee's pidta was made according to the advice given by Than Kong 's spirit and was inserted with the akharak jant as directed by Than kong ( spirit ). Don't believe me blindly, go and ask ( Kelantanese ) around. Perhaps you will be narrated with the same story lines !!!!

6. Others Phra Kreung That Been Brought Back and Re-blessed by Late Than Kong

FYI, during Than Kong's era there were few phims of phra kreung & kreung lang that been distributed by him in Wat Uttamaram. The amulets were NOT by him but were GIVEN or BROUGHT back from other monks / temples after joining the phutapisek ceremony , as token of appreciation to be exact. For instances, 

1. Pidta Phakhawan Mahaud, Luang Pu Ee, Wat Sathahip.

2. Phra Somdej Phim Thewada, Luang Pu Nak, Wat Rakhang.

3. Phra Khun Paen 2497, Achan Chum Chaikiree.

4. Seur Jant Phra Pidta ** ( red magical vest ), Bangkok.
5. Phra KhongKhawan, Luang Phor Sod, Wat Paknam. **

6. etc

 7. Than Kong SENIOR  Amulets Collector's Point of View

 To be honest........most of senior Bangsek's amulets collectors have shared the same  point of view, that is the depicted  figurine on this phra neur wanj is NOT Than Kong @ Khron Ratchanaren's BUT it’s a figurine of Venerable Somdej Phra Rajamuni Samiramagunupamacarya or popularly known as Ven. Luang Pu Thuad Wat Chang Haiy, Pattanee instead.

Most of them keep mum and refuse to utter a single word regarding this phim as...……. they kinda dun wanna HURT & SPOIL their friend / friendship who merely depend on amulets sales and profits for a living, they dun wanna mess-up with those so called Bangsek's expert and last but not least some of them were part of their business partner  - Dollar and Cents ! 

Something to ponder with......that's why the renting price for this "Tongkat-In Phra Nuer Wanj" will never sky-rocketed. The renting price is not soaring as other Than Kong's creations.  By spending few hundreds of RM, you are able to own it. Some of the irresponsible parties claimed that ………..

" The price is not expensive because it's not a popular phim by Than Kong and PLEASE REMEMBER THAT, NOT ALL THAN KONG'S STUFF ARE POPULAR "

What a claim ! YOU HAVE JUST NAILED ME GUYS ! I personally would like to rubbish such claim, as for me the renting price is not sky rocketing merely because you guys know the casted image on the phra nuer wanj is neither Than Kong's figurine nor his creation !

Dear guys, bear in mind that the same hot issue that being discussed RECENTLY is regarding THIS phim phra kreung. The feature phra kreung ( below pics ) was claimed to be late Chau Khun Chan Roob Meurn Neur Wanj Chan Mark Tui which was made and consecrated by late Chau Khun Chan himself. As far as I ( WE - few of us to be exact ! ) concerned, this phim of phra kreung IS NOT Chau Khun Khron a.k.a Tok Raja Roob Meurn. The claim was made as such PERHAPS because of the same reason ( Dollar and Cents may / could be other reasons ! ).  

'Haabooden' - So, whose roob meurn is this ??? FYI, it's a roob meurn of late Luang Phor Soung B.E. 2506 of Wat Khong Kha Wadee, Songkhla  province ! Stayed tuned for another post guys !!!! Hahahahahaha, forsure kena DIU la saya after this ! 

Back to the discussion above, I'M PRETTY POSITIVE that the depicted  figurine on this phra neur wanj is NOT Than Kong @ Khron Ratchanaren's BUT it’s a figurine of Somdej Phra Rajamuni Samiramagunupamacarya @ Luang Pu Thuad of Wat Chang Haiy, Pattanee.

p.s.: Still a good amulet indeed !!!

PILLOW oh PILLOW  !

Out of sudden PILLOW popped out, derived and led me to write something on PILLOW ! PILLOW uses to support our neck while we are sleeping. Make sure you make a RIGHT CHOICE to SUPPORT your neck for a better SLEEP ! Hahahahaha, for this time sharing I would like to share my personal experience regarding the PILLOW. Something to do with the pillow, strange but true story about the pillow.

The stories happened in 2007 & 2011. The first story ( 2007 ) happened when I was contacted by a woman, she said she is my best friend’s friend. She asked for my favour to seek help from my guru ( Phor Mor Chau Narn, 78 years old at that time ). She said her 4-year old daughter keep on crying and yelling for no reason when they entered the house and the situation worsen whenever they entered the room. The small girl ignored to enter the house, especially the master bedroom.

She added that she had sought various gurus and achans, including the Chinese medium. The situation seem solved for only 1 to 3 weeks and sometimes up to 1 month, then the situation getting worse. It became worsen after the HEALING process. According to the woman, most of the gurus and achan said, they were SPELLED / CURSED by black magic ( Long Khong ) but the spelled be fall on their daughter and not them. I met my guru, showed him the little girl and the house photos. I had enlightened him about the situation faced by the kid and woman. Guru smiled and asked me to go to this woman house to SCAN and DETACT the problem. Guru said it was only a MINOR PROBLEM and does not require him to be there. Guru said, it was not about the spell or black magic. Shocked in disbelieved, guru asked me and other looksit to go there and PERFORM the prayers.

To cut it short ………… we arrived at the woman’s house and upon entering the house I can feel the negative energy from inside the house. Upon seeing us, the girl shouted and dashed off the house into the garage / car porch. After ALUYAK ( seeking  permission ) from the couple and house deities ( Kuan Im and Kuan Gong, we begin the WITHI processes. I SAEG the mai thaw ( tongkat ) and the mai thaw pointed to the master bedroom and the mai thaw LED us to the room and suddenly POINTED directly at the pillow. After a short COMMUNICATION with the PILLOW and getting the enlightenment from Than Kong ( Khron Ratchanaren ), I know that there’s something wrong with the pillow.

 

The couple said, they bought the synthetic pillow from the direct selling ( ****way ). It was weird and odd when I said to them that the pillow was the CULPRIT. There was woman’s spirit inside the pillow. The couple seem doubted and from the face impression I know that they not only doubt but totally disagree with my COMMENT. I told them that the pillow was made from the recycle materials and one of it was recycled from the dead woman’s pillow who had died on it. ( committed suicide ). The woman’s spirit kept on roaming and following HER’S PILLOW. The spirit suffered and sought help to REBIRTH ! The spirit said her name is Xin Mei, the reason that she kept on ROAMING and DISTURBING is to get the attention and help.

The withi ended, we brought back the pillow and guru conducted a prayer for the spirit to RELEASE and SEND her to the spirit’s world. Miraclely the HAUNTING  PERIOD solved and the little girl now can sleep soundly without any interference !

The second story on PILLOW happened in year 2011. Me myself had experienced the strange, weird but true story on MY NEWLY BOUGHT KEKABU PILLOW !After giving birth to my 2^nd son, my wife had decided to complete her 40 days confinement period at confinement center in Sungai Petani, because of that I have to travel up & down, rushing here and there for almost every weekend. During the 2^nd weekend visit to the confinement center, I had passed by the small stall / shed by the road side. The stall was set up by the temporary peddler to sell HOME MADE KEKABU PILLOW. I stopped by the road side with the intention to buy the KEKABU PILLOW. It is hard to find the KEKABU PILLOW nowadays. According to my late mum, pillow made by KEKABU is a good pillow to support our head and neck and the seeds ( if included inside the pillow ) can improve blood circulation. I ended up by buying 2 nicely hand stich KEKABU PILLOW.

 

Nothing unusual happened during the 1^st nite of using the new pillow. Comfort ? Improving blood circulation ? Well, still too early to determine that I guess. After the 2^nd nite of comforting my head and neck by using my newly bought KEKABU PILLOW, I had experienced a neck stiff and back bone ache ! The pain didn’t disappear for the next 2 days. I took out the pillow for the SUN BATHE, hahahahaha ! According to the custom and believe, when he have a neck muscle stiff or bad back pain it must be something to do with the pillow ……. TERSALAH BANTAL as in Malay’s custom & believe. In order to cure that we have to put / expose the pillow under the hot sun for a couple of hours. I did that by hopping that my neck stiff will disappear but the neck muscle stiff was still there and seem TERSALAH BANTAL was not the priority reason. I took pain killer and consulted doctor but still the pain was still there and getting worse and worsen !

 

During my 3^rd nite of using the BANTAL KEKABU, as usual before tucking up my blanket I have an hour of Samadhi as my Wan Phra day routine. After two hours of tucking up my blanket, I had a dream…….. I saw a terrible car accident, the car crashed onto the big tree and the driver ( woman ) died on the spot. In my dream, I saw our family TARJAI SEUR gave chased to the woman and suddenly I was  woken up by  the TARJAI SEUR

.

 I woke up immediately and grabbed the pillow, I knew that there’s something wrong with the pillow. I brought the pillow upon my bucha altar and lit the candle for a prayer. I grabbed Than Kong’s ( Tok Raja ) Mai Kru, performed a simple ritual and seek ALUYAK to enlighten me on the bad dream. Than Kong TOLD me that, the KEKABU inside the pillow was TAKEN from the big KEKABU tree by the road side of somewhere in SP. Than Kong had enlighten me on the details, long time before the KEKABU was harvested from the tree, a fatal accident had taken place. The car drove by the woman rammed the tree trunk and the woman died instantly, the woman’s roaming spirit  wandering around and stayed on top of the KEKABU tree. The roaming spirit resided and guarded the tree for years. Than Kong said, the roaming spirit keep on haunting the area and tree yet to be a coincidence RESIDED inside the one of the two pillows that I bought.

 After a short Samadhi, Than Kong advised me to dispose the pillow under a big tree. Before disposing the pillow Than Kong guided me on how to conduct a simple ritual and SENT HER OFF !

Hahahahahahahahahaha !
