"MICHAEL JACKSON" or "KHAN TUAR" ?
Phra Pidnar ( covering the face ) @ Phra Pidtar ( covering the eyes ) is one of the most distinguished and recognizable images of the amulet family which featuring a monk sitting down in a half or full lotus position with both of his hands covering his face @ eyes.
The literal translation of "Pidnar" @ "Pidtar" means to close the face or eyes and these postures are said to make one impervious to surrounding evil by blocking out external influences and distractions, enabling one to focus on the task in hand(s).
There are various depictions of the images with some featuring up to eight arms. The piece signifies the closure of the six senses where ultimate focus and peace can be attained.
